Capinov is one of France’s technical leaders in the field of chemical contaminant screening, and for three consecutive years it has stood out for the high reliability of its results.
In 2020, during the interlaboratory comparison campaign conducted by BIPEA (an independent European organisation that carries out proficiency testing and evaluates the accuracy of laboratories’ analytical results), Capinov submitted 911 results with less than 2% judged inaccurate in the field of pesticide determination.
Founded more than fifty years ago and represented by approximately 80 employees, Capinov provides thousands of clients with regular innovation in analytical research and development in line with their needs.
Capinov has an analytical monitoring service designed to anticipate regulations and develop new test methods. A versatile team of complementary skill sets engage in research into areas of interest like agronomy, food safety, the environment, analytical development and sensory assessments. The lab also has experience in managing French and international research programmes.
Capinov is accredited by Cofrac (French Accreditation Committee) as per the ISO 17025 standard for 8 technical fields covering its testing activities (accreditation no. 1-6211, scope available on www.cofrac.fr), and ISO 9001 for the design and performance of agri-food inspections and the collection of samples for agricultural and agri-food testing.
The laboratory is accredited by the following French bodies:
– Ministry of Agriculture, for soil analysis,
– General Directorate for Food, for the detection of pesticides in plants using single-residue and multi-residue methods,
– Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry, for the issuing of test certificates for foodstuffs and agricultural products intended for export.
It is also certified by the INAO (National Institute of Origin and Quality) for sensory analyses and testing for mycotoxins, pesticides and heavy metals. And lastly, it is a GMP+ registered laboratory, meaning it is recognised internationally for the detection of dioxins, heavy metals, PCBs, aflatoxin B1 and soon pesticides in animal feed.
