On the occasion of the ‘From field to tank’ technical day organised on 25 March 2025 at the GAEC du Meshir in Plougonven (29), the Eureden cooperative's Bovine Nutrition department confirmed its ongoing commitment to its members, with day-to-day local technical and economic support focused on overall performance.
The undisputed leader in cattle nutrition for many years, the Eureden cooperative is more than ever focused on improving the overall performance (economic, social and environmental) of its farmers.
Tailor-made support for 2,500 livestock farmers
The Cattle Nutrition service embodies the values of the cooperative by offering a fair approach to all members, boosting activity in the region and allowing everyone to undertake their business freely. More than 2,500 farms use Eureden solutions. This is proof that, thanks to its versatility, the cooperative has all the resources it needs to provide tailor-made support. This approach makes it possible to enhance the performance of various farming systems and to support more than 200 Young Farmers every year.
Eureden also stands out as a responsible player in its practices, particularly in terms of decarbonisation and animal welfare.
The improvement in feed efficiency brought about by the nutritional solutions used saves the equivalent of 18,266 tonnes of imported soya meal*, or 44,421 tonnes of CO2eq**.
Backed by the confidence of its 2,500 loyal customers, Eureden is committed to maintaining its leadership in bovine nutrition while adopting sustainable and innovative practices.
Day-to-day proximity
As a cooperative, Eureden’s mission is to improve its members’ income by always being at their service. The long-standing relationship of trust with farmers is based on a personalised approach tailored to their objectives. In the field, more than 40 specialised technicians provide support, carry out audits and measure the performance of the solutions offered by Eureden to provide tailor-made advice. Members can also take part in various technical meetings or training courses to ensure the performance of their farms, with a total of almost 10 meetings a year.
This day-to-day proximity of the Bovine Nutrition department means that we can respond effectively to the needs of each farm.
Overall performance objective
Eureden focuses on improving the performance of farmers in the day-to-day running of their farms. The overall performance objective is reflected in an offer based on service and performance: Le sens de l’élevage. The cooperative focuses on animal nutrition and health, in collaboration with its vets, to ensure optimum production.
‘Le Sens de l’élevage’ stands out for its technical and economic support aimed at improving the margin on feed costs (MCA), thanks in particular to the Challenge Lait approach. Eureden is proud to have enabled its farmers to improve their results, with an average MCA of over €11 per cow per day and an average production of over 36 litres per cow per day.
This Du Champ au Tank day, which links crop performance and milk production, is proof that the cooperative, thanks to its versatility, has all the resources to provide tailor-made support.
Eureden remains determined to help its members achieve overall performance, reconciling economic, social (in particular the farmer’s well-being), environmental and animal welfare aspects. Our technically and economically proven solutions and our personalised approach make us a trusted partner for livestock farmers. Together, we can give meaning to livestock farming and contribute to a more sustainable future for agriculture.

For Frédéric Conq, farmer at Plouarzel (29), Chairman of the Milk Producers’ Organisation and Vice-Chairman of Eureden, ‘As the leading cooperative in bovine nutrition, we are focused on improving the performance of livestock farms, through a close relationship on a daily basis’.
For François, from the GAEC du Meshir in Plougonven (29), “My plant and animal production technicians work well together and the relationship aspect is very important to us. We were able to set up this trial platform to look at new forage varieties with the best results in terms of UFL and MAT, so that we can better supplement the cows and continually improve the added value of our production.”
